SSB Content Reviewer (Services Selection Board)

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Content Reviewer to meticulously evaluate, verify, and validate the content of our forthcoming Services Selection Board (SSB) preparatory book. This role focuses on ensuring top-quality content and process accuracy throughout the manuscript. Additionally, the reviewer will address any content gaps or weaknesses found by making essential revisions or rewrites.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct a thorough review of the full manuscript to confirm that all material aligns with the actual Armed Forces Selection Board protocols including Stage 1 Screening, Psychological Tests, Group Testing Officer (GTO) Outdoor Tasks, and Personal Interviews.
• Verify that all candidate advice adheres strictly to the 15 Officer Like Qualities (OLQs) and actively discourage suggestions of memorized or artificial responses.
• Perform minor content enhancements or rewrites when necessary, focusing on correcting outdated or inaccurate sections. Supplement practice materials as needed with appropriate examples such as TAT, WAT, SRT exercises, GPE scenarios, or OIR questions.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Former Armed Forces Officer experienced as an assessor at SSB, NSB, or AFSB centers.
• Seasoned Senior SSB Mentor or Instructor with over five years of experience training defense candidates and evaluating preparation resources.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong proofreading skills, and in-depth understanding of the 5-day SSB assessment process.
