The Team
The Australia Ads team sits within Netflix’s advertising organization and is focused on building a highly attractive advertising product for brands. The team is at an exciting stage of growth, having already created strong early momentum in Australia and now scaling its presence and influence. It is helping develop a premium ads business from the ground up by using Netflix’s own ad technology to deliver a high-quality ad experience for members while giving brands access to highly engaged audiences.
Opportunity
In this role, you will help shape and execute the sales strategy for Australia as a senior member of the Ads business. The position is highly strategic and client-facing, requiring strong relationship management, commercial thinking, and the ability to turn market intelligence into practical growth plans.
You will work directly with senior and C-suite leaders at major advertisers and agencies, influencing how leading Australian brands invest in premium streaming inventory. The ideal professional will understand the advertising landscape deeply, bring a strong network of industry contacts, and have a history of driving revenue growth. Because this is a senior position, you will be expected to define long-term business direction, build partnerships with key industry stakeholders, and identify business challenges early so they can be solved effectively. This role suits a self-starter who works well in uncertainty, enjoys solving complex problems, and thrives in a collaborative global setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop trusted, long-term relationships with major advertisers and their agency partners to support revenue expansion, using Netflix’s audience insights and premium content offerings.
- Assess sales performance, pipeline strength, and revenue delivery with rigor, then turn business reviews into actions that reduce risk and speed up growth.
- Act as a strategic advisor to client leaders by helping them understand Netflix’s direction and by collaborating on long-range growth plans.
- Promote the value of Netflix Ads and drive understanding of platform capabilities to improve sales momentum and uncover additional revenue opportunities.
- Spot new growth avenues across CTV, programmatic, evolving buying models, and cross-border campaigns by tracking market shifts, competitive activity, and innovation signals.
- Anticipate obstacles and areas for improvement, then design practical solutions that keep progress moving forward.
- Work closely with internal partners across Account Management, Marketing Partnerships, Measurement, Ads Marketing, and Product to ensure smooth campaign execution and an excellent client experience.
- Share insights from the market and from partners with regional and global leadership to help refine product, operations, and go-to-market plans.
- Drive complex cross-functional efforts that create value for both advertisers and Netflix.
Candidate Profile
- You should bring at least 12 years of relevant experience in advertising sales, marketing, consulting, or business development.
- Strong knowledge of the advertising ecosystem is expected, along with the ability to connect industry trends and market insights to advertising solutions that influence client decisions.
- You need to be a strategic thinker with a clear track record of impact, sound judgment, and the ability to set priorities in complex settings.
- The role calls for someone who is self-directed, collaborative, and comfortable taking full ownership, moving initiatives ahead, influencing cross-functional teams, and engaging confidently with senior executives in fast-changing and uncertain environments.
- Interest in creating innovative Netflix Ads experiences that support and enhance the brand, content, products, and audience experience is important.
- Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills are required.
- You must be able to manage multiple priorities, make decisions quickly, and work at entrepreneurial pace.
