Kraken, launched in 2011, is among the longest-running crypto platforms in the world and serves more than 10 million individuals and institutions. Its offering includes spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services for both retail and institutional users.

The Onchain Product team is focused on building the next wave of financial products at Kraken by using blockchain infrastructure to make financial services faster, more transparent, and accessible worldwide. The group works where crypto, DeFi, and traditional finance meet, and owns products that help customers earn yield, access tokenized assets, use onchain protocols, and take part in the onchain economy.

The team partners closely with Engineering, Design, Growth, Legal, and Partnerships to identify new opportunities, launch innovative products, and strengthen Kraken’s position in onchain finance.

Role Overview

This role is centered on shaping the product direction for Kraken Wallet and turning complex blockchain functionality into simple, secure, and intuitive user experiences. You will help define strategy, guide roadmap decisions, and coordinate execution across multiple teams to improve adoption and long-term engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and deliver the product vision and roadmap for Kraken Wallet in line with customer needs and company objectives.
• Take ownership of the wallet journey from first-time onboarding through asset handling, DeFi features, payments, and onchain actions.
• Simplify sophisticated onchain capabilities into easy-to-use product experiences.
• Coordinate work across Engineering, Design, Growth, Security, and Operations to ship valuable features.
• Lead the product process from discovery and prioritization to release and ongoing refinement.
• Spot opportunities to strengthen wallet adoption, activation, retention, and user engagement.
• Track developments in wallets, DeFi, stablecoins, and the wider onchain ecosystem to guide product choices.
• Work with internal stakeholders and external partners to assess integrations and broaden wallet functionality.
• Define product metrics and use data, testing, and experimentation to improve outcomes continuously.
• Help position Kraken Wallet as a leading entry point to the onchain economy through secure and innovative experiences.

What You Need

• Strong product intuition with a consumer-focused mindset and attention to small usability details.
• Comfort making bold but considered product decisions and learning quickly from setbacks.
• Solid technical depth, including familiarity with system architecture, Web3 and onchain fundamentals, and enough coding literacy to engage in technical discussions.
• Experience managing stakeholders and aligning teams in a fast-moving, regulated environment.
• Ability to think strategically while staying close enough to the details to make sound product calls.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust quickly across distributed teams.
• Strong alignment with Kraken’s mission, vision, and values.
• At least 4 years of product management experience, with a proven history of launching meaningful consumer-facing products.
• Background in crypto, Web3, trading, gaming, or banking is required.
