Role overview
This position is focused on supporting HSE transformation at the corporate level, with a strong emphasis on change management planning, related systems and processes, performance tracking, and internal communication. The role also offers project management assistance to the Corporate HSEQ team for change-driven initiatives, helping ensure they stay aligned with QatarEnergy HSE policies, senior leadership expectations, and broader strategic business goals.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to corporate HSE transformation efforts and the planning of change management activities.
- Help shape and maintain the systems, processes, performance metrics, and communication required for transformation programs.
- Provide project coordination and management support to the Corporate HSEQ department for change initiatives.
- Support the execution of HSEQ change programs so they remain consistent with company HSE policies and strategic priorities.
- Assist in aligning transformation work with senior management expectations and business objectives.
Required experience and skills
- A postgraduate business qualification is considered an advantage.
- International HSE certification such as NEBOSH IGC, CSP, or an equivalent credential is preferred.
- Sound knowledge of HSE practices is needed.
- Strong interpersonal abilities and communication skills are important.
- Comfort working in a multicultural setting and collaborating across functions is essential.
- Broad understanding of business process improvement methods such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks is useful.
- High computer literacy, including confidence with data analysis, management systems, and reporting/visualization tools such as Power BI.
- Strong analytical thinking and report-writing capability.
- Excellent spoken and written English; Arabic is an added advantage.
- Background in general HSE management is an advantage.
- Exposure to Oil & Gas, petrochemical, or comparable industries is beneficial.
- Knowledge of change management principles, tools, and methodologies is required.
- Ability to stay flexible and effective in uncertain or ambiguous situations.
- Well organized, with a natural ability to plan both strategy and execution.
- Good business judgment and awareness of organizational challenges.
- Familiarity with project management tools, phases, and delivery approaches.
- Experience supporting large-scale organizational change initiatives.
- Change management certification or a similar qualification is an added advantage.
- At least 3 years of change management experience.
- Leadership experience may be preferred depending on seniority.
- Strong grasp of change management discipline, methods, and best practices.
- Proven success in guiding organizational transformation efforts.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Change Management, Human Resources, Business, or a related field is required.
