Role Overview

The Senior Director of Content Marketing will shape and direct the company’s content strategy to strengthen brand positioning, fuel demand generation, and support customer lifecycle engagement. This senior leadership role is responsible for connecting content programs to revenue goals, creating scalable operating frameworks, and managing the complete content lifecycle to deliver measurable impact across international markets.

Strategic Leadership and Vision

  • Set the direction for a worldwide content marketing strategy that supports business growth and revenue goals.
  • Build a long-range content plan that reinforces brand positioning, drives demand, and nurtures customers throughout their journey.
  • Spot market opportunities, audience groups, and messaging approaches that create a clear competitive edge.
  • Keep content strategy aligned with executive priorities and broader growth initiatives.

Content Strategy and Execution Oversight

  • Lead the planning and delivery of content strategies across multiple channels and formats used in marketing programs.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice, message, and positioning across all communication touchpoints.
  • Direct the creation of high-value materials such as thought leadership, research content, and campaign assets.
  • Make sure content efforts contribute to full-funnel marketing and pipeline growth.
  • Own and manage the global content calendar so it stays aligned with campaigns, product launches, and revenue targets.

Performance and Analytics

  • Define the content measurement framework and KPIs tied to revenue, pipeline, and engagement outcomes.
  • Oversee tracking, reporting, and optimization of content performance across channels.
  • Incorporate analytics, attribution, and insight generation into content decisions.
  • Use testing and performance analysis to continuously improve results.

Leadership and Team Development

  • Lead and grow the content marketing leadership team and organizational structure to support scale.
  • Provide coaching, direction, and performance management for the content leadership group.
  • Set operating models, workflows, and standards that ensure consistent quality and execution.
  • Develop content operations processes, governance, and launch workflows that enable efficient delivery from concept to publication.
  • Build a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing content function.

Cross-Functional Alignment and Communications

  • Work with Growth Marketing, Sales, and Revenue Operations to align content plans with pipeline and revenue objectives.
  • Partner with Product, Customer Success, and executive stakeholders on messaging and strategic initiatives.
  • Direct external communications efforts, including PR, brand positioning, and client-facing messaging.
  • Keep content initiatives aligned across business units and global teams.

Financial and Operational Leadership

  • Own the content marketing budget, resource planning, and investment strategy.
  • Review and manage external vendors, agencies, and strategic partners.
  • Allocate resources efficiently to maximize returns from content investments.

Standard Responsibilities

  • Work toward or surpass the performance targets tied to relevant KPIs.
  • Keep skills and product knowledge current through training and ongoing learning programs.
  • Support other teams as business needs require.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related area, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 8 years of experience in content marketing within BPO, SaaS, technology, or a similar setting.
  • Background leading global or enterprise-level content strategy and teams.
  • Strong capability in performance marketing, demand generation, and content-led pipeline growth.
  • Proven ability to connect content strategy with revenue and business outcomes.
  • Solid understanding of digital channels, SEO, and content optimization methods.
  • Experience using marketing technology, analytics tools, and attribution models.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into strategic action.
  • Experience driving cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior leaders.
  • Well-developed strategic thinking, leadership, decision-making, and results-focused skills.
