Sr Data Analyst, Measurement Science, Ads

About the role

Uber is looking for a senior data analyst to support the Ads team with a strong emphasis on analytics automation and data operations. The role is centered on turning complex data into actionable insights, improving reporting efficiency, and helping the business make faster, better-informed decisions using SQL, Python, and API-based solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Write, refine, and maintain SQL queries and scripts to pull, clean, combine, and analyze large datasets.
• Use Python to automate recurring data tasks, transform information, and support analytical workflows.
• Connect multiple data sources and APIs to build near real-time monitoring and automation capabilities.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support data-backed planning and business choices.
• Prepare, update, and manage reporting models and dashboards used by the Ads organization.
• Perform exploratory analysis to surface trends, patterns, and growth opportunities within Uber Ads.
• Help design and implement automation frameworks that improve operational efficiency.

Required qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, automation, data science, or a closely related field.
• Hands-on background in data automation.
• Experience working with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Strong SQL skills for advanced querying and manipulation of data; candidates should expect a live SQL assessment during the interview process.
• Strong Python skills focused on data extraction, transformation, and automation; a live Python assessment will be part of the interview process.
• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Preferred qualifications

• Knowledge of digital advertising or media analytics.
• Exposure to web development frameworks in Python, such as Flask or Django.
• Experience using GenAI to streamline workflows or support data analysis.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment and handle several priorities at once.

Compensation and benefits

For New York, NY, the annual base salary range is USD 135,000 to USD 150,000. For Chicago, IL, the annual base salary range is USD 122,000 to USD 135,500. For San Francisco, CA, the annual base salary range is USD 135,000 to USD 150,000.

All full-time employees may participate in Uber’s bonus program and may also receive equity awards along with other forms of compensation. Full-time employees are eligible for a 401(k) plan and a range of additional benefits.
