Job description
Role Overview
The Sports Officer will take charge of planning, coordinating, and overseeing athletic programs, tournaments, and fitness initiatives at the university. This position is centered on encouraging student involvement in sports, looking after sports infrastructure, and making sure events run efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage sports meets, tournaments, and competitive events from start to finish.
- Encourage and support participation in sports and wellness activities across the student community.
- Oversee university sports teams and arrange their involvement in outside competitions.
- Keep sports grounds, facilities, and equipment in proper condition.
- Maintain sports schedules, participation logs, and related reports.
- Liaise with sports bodies and external organizations as needed.
- Enforce safety practices and discipline during all sports-related activities.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, or a closely related discipline is required. Candidates with additional training or certification in Sports Administration or Event Management will be preferred.
Experience
The ideal candidate should have 4 to 8 years of experience in sports administration, coaching, or sports management. Prior involvement in setting up or running a football academy will be considered an advantage.

Working Arrangement
