Sports Business Systems Analyst Lead

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sports Business Systems Analyst Lead based in Doha, Qatar. This role involves analyzing, implementing, and maintaining essential sports technology solutions that support event organizers and venue operators. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to improve operations through technology, including Facility Management, Building Management, Venue and Event Applications, and Mobile Applications.

Core Responsibilities

• Assess business needs and recommend suitable technology solutions to enhance operational workflows.
• Lead the entire business analysis process for sports and venue management systems.
• Collect and document both functional and technical system requirements from various stakeholders.
• Assist in the rollout and support of Facility Management, Building Management, Venue, Event, and Mobile application systems.
• Oversee integration efforts between internal systems and third-party applications utilizing APIs and integration platforms.
• Coordinate project activities with vendors, business users, and technical teams at all stages.
• Provide ongoing application support including troubleshooting, user training, and resolving issues.
• Support initiatives related to sports science and data analytics by ensuring integrated platforms deliver reliable reporting and decision-making capabilities.
• Continuously monitor system performance and propose improvements.
• Prepare detailed functional specifications, process documentation, and user manuals.
• Ensure timely delivery of projects aligned with business goals.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related disciplines.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in business systems analysis.
• Previous exposure to sports technology, venue management, or event management environments highly preferred.
• Practical experience with Facility Management Systems (FMS), Building Management Systems (BMS), Venue and Event Management Software, and Mobile Applications.
• Proficient in API integrations and handling third-party system connections.
• Firm understanding of system deployment and software implementation processes.
• Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and data visualization or reporting platforms.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Certifications such as CBAP, PMP, Agile, or Scrum are advantageous.
