Role Overview
The Sponsorship Sales Manager will design and execute a comprehensive sponsorship strategy aimed at attracting a broad spectrum of sponsors and exhibitors that align perfectly with the themes and goals of our expos. This role involves crafting tailored exhibition space packages based on exhibitor needs and proactively researching potential sponsors, exhibitors, and partners who can enhance the quality of the events and attendee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a cohesive sponsorship strategy to draw diverse sponsors and exhibitors aligned with expo themes and objectives.
- Design customized exhibition space and booth offerings to meet exhibitor requirements.
- Conduct thorough research to identify potential sponsors, exhibitors, and collaborators to elevate expo quality and attendee engagement.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with key decision-makers at prospective sponsor organizations, understanding their marketing goals and tailoring sponsorship packages accordingly.
- Create persuasive, customized sponsorship proposals highlighting the unique benefits of partnering with our expos, including enhanced brand exposure, lead generation, and networking opportunities.
- Work closely with expo management to ensure seamless execution and activation of sponsorship deals, maximizing sponsor visibility and ROI during events.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as Marketing, Events, and PR to align sponsorship activities with overall marketing strategies and maintain consistent brand messaging.
- Represent the organization at industry gatherings and conferences to establish and nurture relationships with potential sponsors and partners.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least five years of practical experience in exhibition sponsorship sales and space management.
- Previous involvement with international exhibitions and trade shows.
- Experience specifically related to trading events is essential.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline; an MBA or higher degree is advantageous.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated success in building and managing relationships with key industry stakeholders.
- Highly self-driven with a strong results orientation and ability to thrive in a fast-moving, dynamic work environment.
