As a Specialist I, Instructional Designer, you will contribute to crafting engaging educational solutions spanning e-learning, documentation, and instructor-led training. Your efforts will ensure high-quality learning experiences by applying core concepts of instructional design, adult learning, and visual design under guidance from colleagues and key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with team members to create compelling, effective training materials that promote learner engagement and success.
- Foster a collaborative, quality-focused environment to enhance comprehensive learning programs.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and internal teams to collect content and support the training development process.
- Assist in the production of diverse training formats including instructor-led, virtual sessions, self-paced online courses, and hybrid models.
- Create interactive training content in multiple formats, ensuring dynamic and user-friendly delivery.
- Implement instructional design methodologies to aid in content creation, storyboard development, and curriculum refreshes.
- Utilize tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe, Camtasia, Vyond, or similar software to develop learning assets.
- Produce clear, stepwise tutorials and learner assistance materials keeping the end user at the forefront.
- Provide support related to Learning Management System tasks including course setup, testing, uploads, and learner assistance as required.
- Maintain meticulous attention to detail and uphold high standards in content quality.
- Conduct training sessions and trial new curriculum materials when necessary.
- Stay informed about advances in learning technologies and instructional design best practices and share insights with the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
- Minimum two years’ experience in instructional design, educational development, or related fields.
- Proficiency in e-learning content development platforms such as Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia, Vyond, or equivalents.
- Hands-on experience managing and supporting Learning Management Systems.
- Understanding of instructional design workflows including storyboarding, content creation, delivery, and learner support.
- Knowledge of adult learning concepts and instructional design principles.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities effectively, with occasional guidance.
- Strong collaborative abilities and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capable of working both independently and within teams in a fast-paced, adaptive environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
Preferred
- Experience within healthcare or other heavily regulated industries is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range for this full-time role is between $60,000 and $70,000 annually. Beyond base pay, this position qualifies for performance-based bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package, contingent upon eligibility.
Teladoc Health offers a Flexible Vacation Policy designed to support rest and personal time, requiring prior managerial approval. Additionally, 80 hours of Paid Sick, Safe, and Caregiver Leave are provided annually for full-time employees, with further details available for part-time roles upon inquiry.
