About the Role
Rentokil Initial is on the lookout for a Specialist Hygiene Technician to join the Bristol branch team. This position covers Exeter, Plymouth, and nearby areas. No prior experience is needed as a comprehensive training program is provided. This full-time role offers you the autonomy to manage your own schedule while resolving unique hygiene-related issues at customer locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a variety of hygiene cleaning services including biohazard cleanup, flood water damage restoration, infection control, police and prison cell sanitization, sharps removal, trauma and crime scene cleaning.
- Perform technical cleaning tasks such as factory cleaning, work at height, and cleaning silos under expert guidance.
- Adapt to a fast-paced and reactive environment where weekly tasks may change frequently.
- Participate in an on-call rotation approximately twice per quarter.
- Provide customers with expert advice and maintain exceptional customer service standards at all times.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a valid UK driving licence held for over two years with no more than six penalty points.
- Exhibit self-motivation, reliability, and a proactive mindset.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Show flexibility in working patterns to meet business needs.
- Be physically capable of working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Willingness to undergo a DBS check if required by the job assignment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive basic salary starting at £26,655 annually.
- On-target earnings between £30,000 and £38,000 per year through bonuses and commission schemes.
