Job description
Role overview
This position supports Maaden’s operational excellence and full potential programs across assigned business units or plant sites. The main focus is to turn identified improvement opportunities and stability gaps into measurable outcomes, while helping strengthen Maaden’s position as a technology-enabled mining leader.
The role is responsible for carrying out real-time monitoring and improvement initiatives set by the Full Potential Identification Manager. The work is expected to generate lasting benefits across operations, finances, and sustainability.
Key responsibilities
- Roll out full potential identification and value realization initiatives at site level, with emphasis on local execution, stable performance, and measurable impact.
- Partner with site and business unit teams to assess bottlenecks, maturity gaps, and value drivers using structured problem-solving and live data insights.
- Monitor operating data in real time to detect deviations and unusual patterns, then coordinate with site and functional specialists to identify and resolve root causes.
- Convert operational issues into process, technology, or automation improvements that improve throughput, recovery, cost efficiency, energy performance, and overall stability.
- Work closely with Data, AI, IT, and OT teams to share insights that support solution design, improvement planning, measurement, validation, and stabilization.
- Train and coach plant and site teams on real-time performance management, continuous improvement methods, and data-led ways of working.
- Help develop ownership, accountability, and capability in operations so gains can be maintained and scaled across multiple locations.
- Track site improvement progress against KPI changes and maturity targets, and report results to show realized value.
- Feed evidence and insights back into enterprise-wide opportunity pipelines, maturity assessments, and improvement portfolios.
Qualifications and requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related discipline is required.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in operational improvement, process improvement, or a similar role is needed.
- Prior exposure to real-time performance monitoring and maturity assessment frameworks is expected.
- Experience supporting enterprise value identification and execution frameworks is required.
- Background in mining, processing, or other heavy industrial settings is preferred.
