Job Overview
This role, exempt from the federal civilian hiring freeze, invites individuals with a law background to transition into an FBI Special Agent position. Candidates will engage in protecting the country from cyber threats, terrorism, fraud, and other evolving risks.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute investigations related to suspected federal law violations, cybersecurity issues, and public safety concerns.
- Use discretion, innovation, and adaptability to meet investigative requirements.
- Develop and sustain effective partnerships with agencies across federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international levels.
- Maintain physical fitness standards necessary for law enforcement responsibilities.
Key Requirements
- Must possess U.S. citizenship.
- Capable of obtaining a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance.
- Willingness to travel as operational needs dictate.
- Fulfill FBI employment eligibility criteria.
Education Credentials
Applicants are required to hold a bachelor's or Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, preferably in law, legal studies, or a related field, from an accredited U.S. institution. Degree validation through official college transcripts is mandatory.
