Job description

Job Overview

This role is exempt from the federal civilian hiring freeze. As an FBI Special Agent, you will use your thinking, analytical, and decision-making skills in critical moments that influence national security. Thorough analysis, data evaluation, and attention to detail are crucial to identify patterns and support investigations safeguarding public safety.

Translating Healthcare Expertise

Your foundation in medical and healthcare practices, including nursing, patient safety, life support, and quality care, equips you to interpret complex information and exercise sound judgment. This expertise will now serve investigations by turning data and observations into actionable evidence and insights. Your healthcare experience becomes the bedrock for your evolving role, where you take charge of critical decisions and investigations.

Major Responsibilities

  • Plan and oversee investigations related to potential breaches of federal laws, cybersecurity threats, and public safety concerns.
  • Demonstrate judgment, adaptability, and resourcefulness to meet the demands of investigations.

  • Maintain physical fitness necessary to carry out law enforcement duties effectively.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance.
  • Willingness to travel as job duties require.
  • Meet all FBI employment eligibility criteria.
  • Possess at least a bachelor's degree (preferably in medical, health, public safety, or related fields) from an accredited U.S. institution; degrees must be verified with official transcripts.
