Position Overview

This unique role allows individuals with a background in cybersecurity to advance their careers within the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as Special Agents. Far beyond a typical career change, this opportunity involves extensive specialized training and hands-on investigative work addressing national security challenges involving cybercrime, terrorism, fraud, and other evolving threats. Agents in this role leverage their technical expertise to identify critical evidence, solve complex problems, and collaboratively protect the country.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute investigations into possible violations of federal laws related to cybersecurity and public safety.
  • Apply sound judgment, adaptability, and resourcefulness to meet diverse investigative demands effectively.
  • Build and sustain productive partnerships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement organizations.
  • Maintain physical fitness sufficient to perform law enforcement duties as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
  • Eligibility to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance is required.
  • Must be willing and able to travel as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Must satisfy all FBI employment eligibility criteria.

Educational Background

Candidates must possess at least a bachelor's degree or higher from a U.S. accredited institution; degrees in computer science, engineering, data science, information technology, or closely related areas are preferred. Degree verification through official college transcripts is mandatory.

Compensation and Terms
