This role entails rapidly analyzing information and taking action in critical situations that impact national safety. Your professional background will be vital in combating cyber threats, terrorism, fraud, and other emerging risks. The position demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in handling complex data to detect patterns and uncover vital details supporting investigations that protect communities.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead and investigate cases involving potential federal law violations, including those related to cybersecurity and public safety.
- Utilize judgment, creativity, and flexibility to meet the demands of complex investigations.
- Establish and sustain cooperative relationships with law enforcement agencies at federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international levels.
- Maintain physical fitness to meet the requirements of law enforcement duties.
Background Application
Your cybersecurity and technology experience, including skills in SQL, Python, JavaScript, and familiarity with C programming, machine learning, and deep learning, will serve as a solid foundation. At the FBI, your capability to interpret data and identify signals transitions into collecting evidence and generating intelligence insights. This role evolves your contribution from supportive expertise to leadership and decision-making within investigations.

- Candidates must be U.S. citizens eligible to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance.
- Willingness to travel as demanded by the role is required.

Additional documents such as college transcripts and veterans' documentation (if applicable) are required. The full application process involves registering and completing all required sections to successfully apply.
Salary Range
The salary band for this position is between $93,749 and $133,200, adjusted based on base pay, locality pay, and availability.
