Job description
Overview
This opportunity is exempt from the federal civilian hiring freeze. Individuals with an accounting foundation are invited to transition into the role of an FBI Special Agent, where finance skills are expanded through challenging national security investigations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute probes into possible federal law breaches involving cybersecurity and public safety.
- Apply critical thinking, adaptability, and resourcefulness to meet complex investigative requirements.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with law enforcement entities at federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international levels.
- Achieve and sustain necessary physical fitness to undertake law enforcement responsibilities.
Eligibility and Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
- Capability to acquire Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance is required.
- Willingness to travel as operationally necessary.
- Fulfillment of FBI's employment eligibility criteria.
Educational Qualifications
A bachelor's degree or higher from a U.S.-accredited institution, preferably in accounting, business administration, finance, or forensic accounting, is essential. Official college transcripts must verify all degrees.
Salary and Benefits
Compensation ranges from $93,749 to $133,200 annually, adjusted for base salary, locality pay, and availability.
