Job Overview

This role is exempt from the federal civilian hiring freeze. As a Special Agent at the FBI, you will utilize your analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and financial background to impact national security positively. You will investigate violent crimes and address threats such as cyberattacks, terrorism, and fraud by interpreting complex data and uncovering crucial information.

How Your Skills Translate

Your expertise in accounting and finance has equipped you with abilities in financial analysis, budgeting, risk management, and data interpretation, including experience with R programming, Tableau, and financial accounting. In this role, you will convert these competencies into actionable insights and manage critical investigations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead investigations of suspected federal law violations related to cybersecurity and public safety.
  • Apply sound judgment, resourcefulness, and flexibility to meet investigative challenges.
  • Build and sustain effective partnerships with law enforcement agencies across federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international levels.
  • Maintain necessary physical fitness levels to fulfill law enforcement duties effectively.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Possess or be able to obtain Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance.
  • Willingness to travel as job duties require.
  • Meet the FBI Employment Eligibility standards.
  • Hold a bachelor's degree or higher (preferably in accounting, business administration, finance, or forensic accounting) from an accredited U.S. institution, with transcripts verification.

Salary and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $93,749 to $133,200 annually, which varies depending on base pay, locality adjustments, and availability pay.
