Job Overview
This distinct opportunity invites candidates with an accounting background to join the FBI as Special Agents. Beyond utilizing your financial expertise, this role enables you to advance your skills by engaging in complex investigations, working closely with elite professionals to counter threats like cybercrime, terrorism, and fraud. You will leverage and deepen your financial analysis and investigative capabilities while contributing to national security.
Role Responsibilities
- Design and execute investigations into suspected federal law violations, cybersecurity incidents, and public safety threats.
- Employ sound judgment, adaptability, and resourcefulness to navigate complex investigative challenges.
- Develop and sustain effective partnerships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement entities.
- Maintain physical fitness standards necessary for law enforcement duties.
Key Requirements and Eligibility
- United States citizenship is mandatory.
- Eligible and able to secure a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance.
- Availability and willingness to travel as duties require.
- Compliance with the FBI’s employment eligibility criteria.
Educational Qualifications
Candidates must have attained at least a bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. institution, ideally in accounting or related disciplines such as business administration, finance, or forensic accounting. Verification via official college transcripts is required.
