Job Overview
This role offers individuals with an accounting background a unique opportunity to join the FBI as a Special Agent. It combines leveraging your financial knowledge and broadening your skills through challenging investigations related to national security. You will tackle cyber threats, terrorism, fraud, and other evolving dangers while working alongside highly trained professionals.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute investigations into federal law violations, cybersecurity breaches, and public safety concerns.
- Apply critical thinking, adaptability, and resourcefulness to meet diverse investigative demands efficiently.
- Establish and sustain collaborative relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement partners.
- Maintain excellent physical fitness to ensure readiness for law enforcement actions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Applicants must be citizens of the United States.
- Eligibility to acquire a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance is essential.
- Willingness to travel as necessary for investigative needs.
- Fulfillment of the FBI’s employment eligibility criteria.
Educational Background
A Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited U.S. college or university is mandatory. Preferred fields of study include accounting, finance, business administration, or forensic accounting. Official college transcripts must be submitted for verification.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $93,749 to $133,200 annually, adjusted based on base pay, local cost of living, and availability pay.
