About the Role
Mitre 10, a well-established leader in New Zealand's home improvement sector since 1974, invites applications for a Spare Parts Specialist to join their Albany, Auckland Support Centre. This role involves managing the receipt, storage, picking, packing, and dispatching of various spare parts for products imported by Mitre 10. The specialist ensures the warehouse is organized, clean, and safe while maintaining accurate inventory data through an internal Spare Parts Portal and Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the warehouse remains tidy and well-maintained.
- Receive and inspect incoming spare parts shipments, reporting damages or discrepancies to the Quality and Service Lead.
- Sort, label, and store parts in designated locations using InFlow WMS and warehouse tools.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders according to customer requirements and quality guidelines.
- Load and unload spare parts using appropriate equipment, with the ability to lift up to 25 kg.
- Conduct periodic stock checks and update inventory records.
- Identify stock issues like low, excess, or obsolete inventory, and communicate solutions to the Quality and Service Lead.
- Assemble products to perform sample inspections.
Required Experience and Skills
- Prior experience in warehouse, logistics, or spare parts environments.
- Understanding of spare parts, inventory control, and warehouse operations, including schematic reading.
- Competence with barcode scanners and inventory software.
- Physical capacity to safely handle heavy and bulky spare parts.
- Valid full driver's license.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality assurance.
- Effective communication, customer service aptitude, and problem-solving skills.
