Role Overview

This position offers the opportunity to join Qatar Airways as a Spa Therapist in Doha. The role focuses on delivering a consistently high standard of spa care to guests through professional massage work, body treatments, facials, manicures, pedicures, and waxing services.

Operations and Guest Service

• Carry out scheduled spa treatments safely and effectively, following the required treatment standards and procedure details.
• Deliver treatments that are both pleasant and safe for every spa guest.
• Select suitable spa music and vocal style in line with the treatment being provided.
• Understand the full range of spa services and help increase guest loyalty and business growth by promoting those services in a thoughtful, friendly, and professional manner.
• Identify opportunities to suggest home-care products or other suitable services to guests when appropriate.
• Complete all required records and treatment documentation within the expected time frame.
• Keep treatment rooms clean, organized, and fully prepared with essentials such as towels, candles, and oils.
• Maintain storage areas in an orderly condition and ensure spa tools, products, and supplies are replenished according to the established process.
• Report any equipment issues immediately to the designated person.
• Perform all duties with professionalism and respect for scheduled start and finish times.
• Maintain excellent personal hygiene and present a polished, professional appearance at all times.
• Work in a manner that protects the health and safety of guests and employees while also minimizing environmental impact.
• Follow all spa environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Candidates should have either a high school qualification with at least 1 year of job-related experience, or a bachelor's degree or equivalent with no prior job-related experience.

Essential Requirements

• Beauty therapy certification such as CIBTAC, CIDESCO, or an internationally recognized equivalent diploma.
• Strong spoken and written English communication skills.

Preferred Experience and Technical Knowledge

• Prior experience in a similar role at a 5-star resort, hotel, or day spa is preferred.
• Practical knowledge of body anatomy and physiology, human biology, chemistry, and hygiene.
• Hands-on expertise in facial treatments, basic and advanced massage techniques, manicures, pedicures, body treatments, waxing, and galvanic body and facial treatments.
• Exposure to or working knowledge of leading spa brands.
• Ability to perform massages, facials, body wraps, body scrubs, manicures, pedicures, and waxing services.
