Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Spa Therapist to join a luxury hospitality environment in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on delivering high-quality spa and wellness treatments, creating memorable guest experiences, and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the spa and related wellness areas.
Qualifications
- An internationally recognized qualification in Massage Therapy, Spa Therapy, Beauty Therapy, Physical Therapy, or a closely related discipline is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a luxury spa, wellness center, or hospitality setting is expected.
- Strong understanding of spa services, wellness treatments, and guest care standards is essential.
- Good communication skills and a confident, courteous manner are necessary.
- A polished appearance and consistent grooming that reflects professional standards are required.
- The role requires flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Key Responsibilities
Operations
- Administer spa treatments and therapies in line with established service standards and treatment protocols.
- Prepare treatment rooms before and after appointments, ensuring they are clean, organized, and fully supplied.
- Maintain excellent hygiene, cleanliness, and presentation across the spa environment.
- Complete treatment documentation and guest consultation records accurately.
- Actively promote spa offerings, wellness programs, and retail products.
- Monitor equipment and supplies, and report any need for repair or replacement.
- Assist with the daily operations of the Spa, Fitness Centre, Reception, and Retail areas when needed.
- Keep knowledge current by following industry developments, treatment methods, and product updates.
Guest Service
- Provide personalized, attentive, and high-standard service to every guest.
- Carry out consultations to understand guest needs and suggest appropriate treatments.
- Respond to guest queries, requests, and concerns in a timely and professional way.
- Maintain detailed guest history and treatment preference records.
- Develop strong guest relationships that encourage return visits and loyalty.
Administration
- Keep treatment records, appointment schedules, and other operational documents accurate and up to date.
- Follow all spa and departmental policies, procedures, and operating standards.
- Take part in meetings, briefings, and training sessions as required.
- Support stock control and inventory tracking for treatment and retail items.
Health, Safety, and Financial Control
- Comply with hotel and spa health, safety, hygiene, and emergency procedures at all times.
- Use all equipment safely and ensure it remains in proper working order.
- Help control costs through careful use of products, equipment, and supplies.
- Ensure services are charged and recorded correctly in accordance with hotel processes.
People and Culture
- Build positive working relationships with colleagues across departments.
- Support the values, culture, and service philosophy of the property.
- Maintain high standards of grooming, behavior, and professional presentation.
- Participate in training, cross-exposure, and professional development activities.
Additional Duties
- Attend all mandatory meetings and training programs.
- Remain cross-trained in relevant spa services and operations.
- Perform other reasonable duties assigned by management.
