Role Overview

This is a full-time, on-site cooking position based in Sharjah. The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing authentic South Indian meals, supporting day-to-day kitchen activities, upholding hygiene and safety standards, and ensuring that meals are served on time and at a consistently high quality.

Key Duties

  • Prepare a variety of South Indian dishes, covering both vegetarian and non-vegetarian items.
  • Handle ingredient preparation and maintain readiness for daily kitchen operations.
  • Manage kitchen workflow so meals are delivered efficiently and on schedule.
  • Follow food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety procedures throughout the cooking process.
  • Store ingredients and food supplies properly to preserve quality and freshness.
  • Support menu planning while keeping dietary needs in mind.
  • Maintain standards for portioning and presentation of meals.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team and management to keep operations running smoothly.

Skills and Experience Needed

  • Strong ability to cook a wide range of South Indian dishes.
  • Knowledge of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian South Indian cuisine.
  • Experience in menu planning, portioning, and plating food attractively.
  • Good understanding of kitchen hygiene, food safety, and storage methods.
  • Ability to communicate well and work effectively with others in the kitchen.
  • Good time management and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy environment.
  • Prior work experience as a South Indian cook or in a similar culinary role in hotels, restaurants, or catering services.
  • Culinary training or certification in South Indian cooking will be considered an added advantage.
