Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Sous Chef with expertise in Italian cuisine, particularly pizza operations and dough handling. The ideal candidate will play a vital role supporting the Head Chef to maintain kitchen efficiency and delivering consistent product quality.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen activities.
- Lead, coach, and develop the pizza team to produce high-quality and consistent pizzas.
- Prepare, shape, and cook pizzas following authentic techniques.
- Supervise dough preparation, fermentation processes, and ingredient management.
- Ensure stringent adherence to cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards within the kitchen.
- Control inventory by managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and portion control.
- Contribute to menu refinement and creation of new pizza recipes.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Demonstrable expertise in pizza making styles such as Neapolitan, Roman, or artisanal pizzas.
- At least three years of experience as a Senior Pizza Chef or Sous Chef.
- Comprehensive knowledge of dough science, fermentation, and baking techniques.
- Adeptness at working efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong leadership abilities paired with excellent communication skills.
