About the Role
Randstad USA is collaborating with a prominent Fortune 150 energy company to recruit three experienced Sourcing Specialist II professionals. The role is based in Charlotte, North Carolina with a hybrid work model requiring onsite presence three days a week. This is a one-year contract offering up to $46.67 per hour for a full-time schedule, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday with flexible daytime hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives, including management of RFQs, RFPs, and Alliance & Master Service Agreements.
- Collaborate with senior supplier management to negotiate contracts achieving cost avoidance, improve process efficiencies, and ensure favorable contract terms.
- Oversee supplier relationship administration, resolve disputes, supervise price adjustments, and manage invoice processing.
- Partner with project managers to support bid events related to equipment, manage outages, and contribute to capital projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 to 10 years of experience in supply chain roles.
- Willingness and ability to travel occasionally for overnight or plant visits with expenses reimbursed.
- Preferred candidates have a background in utility sectors supporting power plants, outages, or capital projects.
- Expertise in sourcing labor, services, materials, and engineered power plant equipment strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in contract negotiation and financial analysis.
- Familiarity with electronic sourcing platforms such as PowerAdvocate and ERP software including CAS and Maximo.
- Certifications like CPM or CPSM are beneficial but not required.
