Role overview
The Solutions Engineer (Consultant) works closely with Deel’s go-to-market and internal teams to help win and support customers. You will partner with Account Executives to guide prospects through Deel’s platform and product capabilities, helping establish technical confidence, business value, and solution fit.
You will turn complicated client needs into practical, scalable, and compliant solutions, supporting the sales journey from early discovery all the way to implementation transition.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with go-to-market teams to demonstrate Deel’s value and help close technical opportunities.
- Work with prospective customers to review current workflows and tools, identify gaps or improvement areas, and propose a better future-state approach.
- Serve as the technical lead during sales conversations, including discovery sessions, RFP work, product demos, and integration or architecture workshops.
- Convert customer needs into solution designs and implementation guidance while aligning stakeholders on scope, method, and success measures.
- Work with Product, Engineering, and Operations to represent prospect requirements, resolve technical blockers, speed up deal movement, and strengthen value positioning.
- Question existing approaches constructively and look for ways to improve, simplify, and scale processes, assets, and customer messaging.
- Create and keep up-to-date technical enablement materials such as demo stories, discovery guides, reference designs, FAQs, and competitor comparisons.
- Assist with partner- and marketing-driven activities including webinars, events, content, and co-created solution workshops when required.
- Keep current with technology trends, integration methods, security and compliance expectations, and industry best practices to maintain strong technical credibility.
Qualifications and experience
- At least 2 years of experience in a Solutions Engineer, Pre-Sales Consultant, or similar customer-facing technical position.
- Background supporting complex B2B sales cycles in mid-market or enterprise environments, including discovery, demos, security reviews, and integrations.
- Solid knowledge of SaaS delivery and common integration patterns such as APIs, SSO/SAML, HRIS, ERP, finance systems, and data movement.
- Ability to lead technical discussions with stakeholders across IT, Security, Operations, Finance, HR, and business leadership.
- Willing to travel within and outside the territory for up to about 10% of the time or less.
- Strong presentation and narrative skills with a consistent focus on customer outcomes; multilingual ability is an advantage.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, positive attitude.
- Strong team orientation and comfort working collaboratively.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced startup-style environment.

Perks and benefits
- Stock grant opportunities, depending on role, employment status, and location.
- Additional perks and benefits vary by employment status and country.
- Remote-work flexibility, with optional access to WeWork locations.
