Role summary
This full-time, on-site position is based in Karāchi and involves cleaning and maintaining solar panels on rooftops and ground-mounted installations. The purpose of the role is to keep panels operating efficiently by removing dirt and debris, checking for visible damage, and following safe work practices at heights.
Key duties
The cleaner will inspect solar panels for dust, debris, damage, shading, or other obstructions; use approved tools and cleaning agents; and work in line with strict safety rules while operating on roofs or elevated structures. The job also includes preparing equipment, arranging ladders or access equipment, keeping the work area tidy and secure, recording completed work, identifying hazards, and informing supervisors of any concerns. Coordination with installation and maintenance staff is also part of the role to help maintain system reliability.
Qualifications and working conditions
Candidates should be comfortable with physically demanding work such as carrying equipment, climbing ladders, and spending long periods at heights. A basic grasp of cleaning methods, hand tools, and the safe use of cleaning solutions is useful. Awareness of rooftop and electrical safety is important, along with a willingness to follow all safety procedures and use protective gear. Good attention to detail, dependability, punctuality, and the ability to work outdoors in changing weather are required. Clear communication and a cooperative approach with supervisors and technicians are also expected. Experience in solar, construction, facilities maintenance, or similar work is preferred but not mandatory.
