Role Summary

We are in search of an experienced Software Architect to lead the creation and evolution of Nispera, an advanced Asset Performance Management (APM) system that enhances operational efficiency for renewable resources such as batteries, solar, and wind. This unified platform integrates real-time and historical operational metrics, market data, and user inputs to provide insightful analytics, automated reports, and predictive maintenance recommendations for asset stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and technical leadership by defining architecture roadmaps, setting technical standards, and enforcing best practices aligned with business objectives including revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
• Lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise and cloud-native software solutions, including backend services and microservices frameworks.
• Collaborate across product, engineering, and regional teams to translate business needs into technical designs that meet diverse regional and market requirements.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams by delivering technical direction and fostering skill development.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as reducing technical debt, enhancing system performance, automating workflows, and adopting modern methodologies like CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure the platform upholds rigorous standards for security, reliability, performance, and regulatory compliance in coordination with enterprise security and infrastructure teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of twelve years in software development, with at least five years in an architectural leadership capacity.
• Demonstrated success in designing distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud-native applications.
• Expertise in system design principles including domain-driven boundaries, data modeling, API design, event-driven patterns, caching, and consistency management.
• Proven experience delivering complex enterprise software and large-scale SaaS platforms emphasizing scalability and reliability.
• Knowledge and practical experience with CI/CD tools, infrastructure as code solutions (CDK, Terraform), version control using Git, and automated testing frameworks.
• Strong familiarity with authentication technologies such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT.
• Experience working with React or other contemporary frontend frameworks.
• Competency in applying AI/ML technologies and utilizing productivity-enhancing tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with multidisciplinary and international teams.
• A passion and ability to mentor colleagues to help them grasp architectural principles and enhance their technical capabilities.

Preferred But Not Mandatory

• Experience with AWS cloud services and networking concepts.
• Background in the energy sector, particularly renewables or battery energy storage systems.
