Job description
About Fuse Energy
Fuse Energy is a vertically integrated energy business that is still early in its journey but already large in scale, with more than 300,000 customers, $550M+ in annual recurring revenue, and a $210M raise from leading investors. The company grew 700% last year and is pursuing an ambitious global expansion.
Its mission is to make energy inexpensive, clean, and widely available so that energy becomes something people no longer have to worry about. Fuse believes abundance enables people to build, create, and solve difficult problems, and it is working toward that future through multiple fronts: offering power at around 30% lower cost than the rest of the industry, building proprietary hardware, developing utility-scale solar farms, installing home solar systems across the UK, and expanding into international markets and robotics.
Fuse is also building an internal content and creative function. This team is intended to operate as a standalone capability with a clear objective: make the company and the future it is creating impossible to overlook and hard to resist. The opportunity is to join early and help shape a team that others will want to imitate.
Role overview
As Social Strategist, you will own a social platform from end to end and be fully accountable for what appears on that feed. You will act as the strategic lead for your pod, working with creators on your platform while drawing support from a shared in-house creative group that includes editors, designers, and videographers. Your focus will be on keeping high-quality content moving consistently, while ensuring every post has a clear purpose and earns its place.
What you will do
- Set the content direction for your platforms, including pillars, formats, publishing calendar, and posting cadence so the channel remains active without interruption.
- Create monthly and annual plans for your pod in partnership with the Head of Content.
- Stay closely tuned to developments across the business and on the internet, using those insights to develop briefs for creators.
- Guide creator output by reviewing work, sharing references and concepts, and using performance data to improve results over time.
- Publish content, evaluate how it performs, and move the strongest pieces into paid campaigns when appropriate.
- Partner with the growth team to brief creators on advertising needs and supply top-performing content for use across other channels.
- Translate campaign direction from the art director into a social strategy that fits your feed and supports each campaign.
- Recruit and coordinate freelancers when needed, while taking ownership of the pod's production budget.
- Manage community interactions by responding to comments and direct messages, escalating customer feedback to product and customer support, and surfacing the best content from other pods for your own feed.
What we are looking for
- Strong social instincts and original ideas, with the ability to identify promising content early and explain why it will work.
- Deep familiarity with social platforms and a clear understanding of how they operate.
- A sharp sense for hooks, angles, and content packaging that captures the attention of the right audience.
- Excellent organisation, including the ability to plan, brief, analyse performance, and keep multiple workstreams moving at once.
- Comfort working with high ambition and turning it into real output at speed.
- Full ownership of your platform, a bias for fast execution, strong influence over others, and genuine interest in what performs and why.
- Strong awareness of internet culture and how it shapes content performance.
What you will build
You will help turn one Fuse social channel into one of the most followed and widely discussed feeds in the world. The strategy and playbook you create to achieve that result will become the framework you continue to own. You will work with talented creators, contribute to a mission with global relevance, and help shape a company that is building solar farms, custom hardware, and an international presence.
Benefits
- Competitive pay plus equity participation.
- A biannual bonus plan.
- Fully funded technology suited to your needs.
- Paid annual leave.
- Meal support for employees based in the office, including breakfast and dinner allowance.
