Job description

Role overview

MOOD London is looking for a highly imaginative and commercially minded Social Media Strategist to strengthen the brand’s online presence for its premium fragrance business. This role suits someone who understands luxury and premium branding, social-led storytelling, and consumer culture, and who can turn brand direction into original social ideas that raise engagement, awareness, and growth.

Working in partnership with the marketing, PR, influencer, creative, and ecommerce teams, you will shape and roll out innovative social campaigns, launch narratives, community-building activity, and paid social plans designed to improve visibility and attract customers in both the UK and overseas markets.

This opportunity is for someone who can balance creativity, strategy, and performance to help build a contemporary luxury brand with strong social relevance and lasting community loyalty.

What you will do

As Social Media Strategist, you will own the broader social strategy across platforms and make sure every piece of content reflects the brand’s polished tone, emotional storytelling, and premium positioning. You will pair creative thinking with commercial judgment to build campaigns that resonate with modern luxury audiences and nurture an aspirational online community.

This is more than day-to-day channel management. The business needs a strategic, trend-aware creative who can develop social-first concepts, spot cultural opportunities, and create a scalable digital presence that grows desirability and delivers measurable results.

Key responsibilities

  • Create and steer a complete social media strategy that fits business goals and brand identity.
  • Initially focus on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, then extend the strategy to Pinterest, LinkedIn, and other channels as the brand grows.
  • Oversee day-to-day content planning, scheduling, and publishing across relevant social platforms.
  • Guide the in-house Content Creator by writing clear briefs, giving creative direction, and providing constructive feedback so all assets stay on brand.
  • Review social performance data, identify trends, and use insights to improve campaigns.
  • Reply to followers, manage comments, and encourage positive community interaction in a professional manner.
  • Keep up with emerging social media trends, tools, and best practices across social management and public relations.
  • Work with external marketing partners and influencers on collaborative campaigns when needed.
  • Handle social media crises quickly and appropriately.
  • Monitor KPIs and reach-related metrics, then deliver monthly reports showing what is performing well and what should be adjusted.

About you

The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about beauty, fragrance, luxury lifestyle, and digital culture, and feels comfortable in a fast-moving environment. You should naturally recognise what helps premium brands stand out online and be able to build content pillars, campaign ideas, growth plans, and social experiences that feel refined, relevant, and emotionally engaging across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, and emerging channels.
