Job description
Business Overview
KINESSO is a performance marketing organization focused on technology-led growth for agency partners and clients. The company combines optimization, analytics, AI, and experimentation to turn strategy into measurable outcomes. It brings together capabilities from Matterkind, Reprise, P3, and Kinesso into a single delivery platform spanning performance marketing, data, and technology. With more than 6,000 employees across over 60 countries, the business supports social strategy, e-commerce growth, and tailored marketplace solutions.
The client for this role is NIKE Inc., a global leader in athletic footwear, apparel, equipment, and accessories. Nike’s brand is built around inspiration, innovation, and strong consumer experiences across product, retail, and communications. This opportunity sits on the Nike Initiative team, which aims to connect brand and performance through a highly collaborative media structure.
Role Summary
KINESSO is seeking a Social Media Strategist to work closely with Omnicom team members and help shape smart, creative social approaches for clients. The role blends community engagement, publishing, platform management, reporting, and social strategy support. You will contribute ideas, help optimize execution, and offer informed perspective on the evolving social media environment.
Key Responsibilities
The position centers on always-on management of @jumpman23 social channels in coordination with Jordan’s global social team in Beaverton and an internal teammate in New York City to ensure coverage across time zones. The scope currently includes one channel across five major platforms: Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, and YouTube.
You will maintain and update profiles where needed, including story highlight organization, follower/following handling, engagement actions such as liking, commenting, and resharing, plus updates to profile images, bios, links, and other channel details. For YouTube, responsibilities include playlists, cover images, profile photos, tags, descriptions, and subtitles.
In addition to Jordan channels, this role provides backup publishing support for Nike Global channels such as Nike Basketball and Nike Skateboarding. You will test, quality-check, and publish organic social content with speed, precision, and strong operational control, always working within a closed live approval environment.
The job also includes support for Jordan’s creative review workflow and editorial planning, including entering details into AirTable. You will help publish real-time engagement moments around high-profile events such as nationally broadcast NBA and WNBA games, which may fall outside normal business hours. Weekend publishing and live sport or campaign support are part of the role when needed.
Additional responsibilities include advising on posting cadence by platform, sharing best practices and publishing insights with both internal teams and clients, and contributing ideas for innovative social use cases. You will research emerging platforms, assess whether they fit client goals, and help build bi-annual social playbooks with trend, landscape, content, engagement, and audience insights.
The role also requires creating both qualitative and quantitative reports on social performance, audience behavior, and social conversation to support client and agency decision-making. You will manage a project tracker with metadata governance for creators and partners, maintain consistency across organic posts, collaborate with social platforms such as Meta, Twitter, and TikTok on thought leadership and new tactics, and build strong working relationships with organic, paid social, project management, analytics, and partner teams. You will stay current on social trends, emerging platforms, audience habits, and platform best practices, while supporting ad hoc social strategy projects that may contribute to new business efforts.
Experience and Skills
The preferred background includes 1 to 2 years of experience in community management and social strategy. Strong writing and communication ability is essential, along with genuine interest in digital marketing and a solid understanding of the social media landscape.
Helpful experience includes insight mining, editorial planning, community management, and social reporting. The role also calls for someone who can handle several workstreams at once, collaborate well, and communicate clearly. Organization, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy are important. You should be comfortable working independently as well as with teammates, peers, and senior stakeholders across Omnicom and partner agencies.
Deep familiarity with major social platforms is expected, along with experience using tools such as AirTable and Asana for workflow management and native publishing tools for social networks. Experience with publishing or CMS platforms such as Sprinklr, HootSuite, or SproutSocial is a plus. Practical exposure to social listening, community management, and measurement tools is also preferred, especially Emplifi, Sprinklr Quid, and Pathmatics.
