Overview
JOEY Restaurant Group invites a Social Media Specialist to spearhead the brand presence of LOCAL Public Eatery on social networks, focusing on creating meaningful cultural engagement through content, creators, and community involvement. This full-time, onsite position based in Vancouver, BC, requires ownership of social media strategies including brand and Employment Brand alignment, and management of creator and influencer partnerships to enhance brand visibility and credibility.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead and refine LOCAL Public Eatery’s social media approach on platforms such as Instagram and TikTok, ensuring strategies support brand consistency, business objectives, and campaign goals.
- Plan, oversee, and execute content calendars that effectively blend scheduled campaigns with spontaneous, relevant content.
- Collaborate across Marketing, Creative, Culinary, Bar, and People + Culture teams to synchronize social and creator projects with overall business direction.
- Create and edit engaging social-first photo and video content that embodies the brand’s tone and visual style.
- Partner with Creative and Marketing departments to animate brand campaigns and special occasions for social media channels.
- Participate actively in content shoots and campaign planning to optimize deliverables for social formats.
- Propose innovative content formats, potential partnerships, and novel social engagements that evolve the brand's presence.
- Identify and develop relationships with influencers and creators aligned with the brand’s audience and ethos.
- Manage outreach, negotiate agreements, and coordinate collaborations with creators, ensuring program scalability through consistent partnerships and event-driven activations.
- Oversee creator partnership outputs, timelines, and performance benchmarks, ensuring brand alignment while preserving authentic content.
- Handle daily community interaction by managing direct messages, comments, and fan engagement to foster an active social presence.
- Immerse in cultural trends, engage with relevant social conversations, brands, and creators to amplify brand visibility.
- Monitor community sentiment and relay insightful feedback to the team to inform strategy.
- Analyze social metrics and creator campaign outcomes to extract actionable insights that refine content quality and partnership effectiveness.
- Conduct ongoing performance testing to identify key drivers of engagement and tangible business results.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of three years’ experience in social media, influencer marketing, or digital marketing, preferably within hospitality, lifestyle, or agency contexts.
- Demonstrated competence managing creator and influencer collaborations, including outreach, negotiation, execution, and assessment.
- Deep expertise in Instagram and TikTok ecosystems with an acute sense for evolving trends, creators, and cultural moments.
- Strong creative skills in producing and editing cutting-edge, social-first content.
- Ability to strategically align content initiatives and creator partnerships with overarching brand and business targets.
- Proficiency in using data analytics to drive content and partnership optimizations.
- Excellent interpersonal communication with a talent for fostering honest relationships with creators and stakeholders.
- A passionate interest in hospitality, valuing people, culture, and experiences.
Desirable Extras

Compensation
