- Identify and act upon content opportunities in real time.
- Edit short-form social media content such as Reels, TikToks, and Stories.
- Prepare content for handoff to the social media team.
- Manage digital assets including files and content libraries after shoots.
- Ensure timely and brief-compliant content delivery.
- Support shoot planning, including schedules and run sheets.
- Manage logistics such as locations, props, equipment, and timing.
- Ensure smooth shoot operations and proactively address issues.
- Handle on-the-spot problem-solving with calm and practical approaches.
- Learn comprehensive shoot project management from start to finish.
- Assist with content planning and pre-production activities.
- Stay updated on social media trends, formats, and platform changes.
- Contribute ideas to enhance content performance on social channels.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience in content creation, production, and social media management.
- Strong familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, and the creator ecosystem.
- Proficient in using iPhone for content capture; camera skills are advantageous.
- Competent in editing, preferably with CapCut software.
- Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
- Flexible availability to travel and adapt to shoot schedules.
- Ability to maintain a calm, solution-oriented demeanor under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, particularly in client interactions on set.
- Proactive ownership of tasks and responsibilities.
- Attentive to details often overlooked by others.

- Eager to learn, improve, and open to coaching and feedback.
- Confident in asking questions and asserting oneself.
Organizational Culture

- High quality standards combined with a humble approach.
- Prioritizing momentum over perfection paralysis.
- Clear communication and accountability valued.
- Maintaining calmness, capability, and kindness especially during stress.
At Melbourne Social Co, team members are trusted early on, supported intentionally to grow, and expected to demonstrate initiative, sound judgment, and pride in their work. The work environment encourages being recognized, supported, and challenged rather than micromanaged.
Work Conditions and Benefits
- Hybrid work with 2-3 days per week in the Melbourne office.
- Options for full-time or part-time engagement.
- Access to training, mentoring and defined growth pathways.
- Collaborative, creative, and ambitious team environment.
