Role Overview
The Social Media Marketing Specialist position operates primarily onsite in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area with some flexibility for remote work. This role involves crafting, scheduling, and disseminating compelling social media content to advance awareness of Artportunity Knocks' programs and mission. Responsibilities include content creation such as posts, photo and short video capture, engagement monitoring and responses, maintaining content calendars, supporting digital campaigns, collaborating with program teams to showcase success stories, and evaluating basic metrics to improve outreach effectiveness. The specialist works closely with the marketing team to maintain consistent branding centered on youth empowerment through arts education.
Key Qualifications
- Proven experience in social media marketing and digital promotion with familiarity across major platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X.
- Skilled in producing engaging social media content including caption writing, visual selection, and creating short video or graphic media.
- Basic understanding of marketing concepts and engagement techniques, especially relevant to nonprofits or youth-focused initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills adaptable to diverse audiences.
- Genuine interest in arts education, youth development, or community service aligning with Artportunity Knocks' mission.
- Detail-oriented with organizational capabilities to manage deadlines and content calendars in a dynamic setting.
- Ability to function in a hybrid work structure involving on-site attendance for events or content gathering within the Atlanta area.
- Experience with design or editing software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express) and using social media analytics tools is desirable.
