Job description
About the Role
PFF is hiring a Social Media Manager to run and expand its organic social presence across major platforms. This position works directly with the Head of Social Media and plays a key role in shaping how PFF appears every day on X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and newer channels.
The ideal candidate enjoys being actively involved in day-to-day social execution: drafting copy, editing short-form video, publishing content, interacting with the community, and reviewing performance data. A strong interest in football, an instinct for content that performs well on social, and comfort working with analytics are all important for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Publish and manage daily content across X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook, including writing captions, editing clips, and scheduling posts.
- Keep track of PFF's social audience in real time by replying to comments, encouraging fan discussion, and strengthening audience relationships.
- Help create content formats that translate PFF's grades, data, and analysis into posts that people want to watch, engage with, and share.
- Review performance across platforms by pulling reports, identifying content that is performing well, and spotting opportunities for improvement.
- Support the Head of Social on campaigns connected to PFF+ subscriber growth, product launches, and major NFL moments such as the Draft, fantasy season, playoffs, and the Super Bowl.
- Work closely with editorial, growth, and design teams so that social content reflects broader business goals.
- Keep up with platform trends, algorithm updates, and new content formats, while bringing fresh ideas forward.
What We're Looking For
- 2 to 4 years of practical social media experience, preferably with a sports, media, or digital-first brand.
- A track record of producing content that earns strong engagement, along with examples of successful work.
- Solid short-form video abilities, including shooting, editing, and posting without relying on a production team.
- Clear understanding of how different platforms work and what makes content succeed on each one.
- Strong enthusiasm for football, with good awareness of the game, PFF's audience, and its product.
- Comfort using analytics to assess performance and guide future content choices.
- Strong writing ability with a voice that feels native to each platform.
- Ability to move quickly and stay organized during high-volume NFL moments and other fast-paced periods.
Bonus Experience
Additional value will be given to candidates who have worked with fantasy sports or sports betting content, know PFF's grades and data offerings, or have used social media management tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, CreatorIQ, or similar platforms.
Application Details
Applicants are asked to share the social accounts they have managed directly, examples of their strongest content, and a short note describing what they would focus on during their first 30 days at PFF.
Additional Information
This is a full-time, onsite position based in the United States.
The role is centered on organic social growth and cross-functional collaboration, with direct reporting to the Head of Social Media.
