Originating in Venice, California, the company is expanding into major cities and aims to deliver memorable experiences for both attendees and partner brands.
About the Role
The company is looking for an imaginative, organized, and proactive Social Media Manager & Content Creator to lead content production and manage social channels for Coffee & Chill Venice. This opportunity is a strong fit for someone early in their career who wants to help build community and support growth for a startup in the social wellness space.
The ideal candidate understands how digital storytelling builds community, enjoys creating content on location at events, and stays current with changing trends and platform algorithms. Reliability, strong communication, organization, quick adaptation, and genuine alignment with the brand’s mission and lifestyle are all essential.
Work Location and Employment Type
This role is based in Los Angeles, CA, with daily work performed remotely. It is offered as a contractor position rather than a W-2 employee role.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and management of social content while keeping the brand voice consistent and maintaining an active posting cadence of at least four feed posts each week.
- Plan, film, appear in, and edit short-form video content for Instagram and other social platforms.
- Monitor trends, cultural moments, memes, and platform algorithm changes to keep content relevant.
- Maintain the content calendar and look for opportunities to curate content and highlight important upcoming events.
- Be present at all onsite events and selected media moments to capture behind-the-scenes and live social content.
- Support audience growth, engagement, and ticket sales through organic social channels.
- Respond to comments, direct messages, and tags to foster a connected and engaged online community.
- Review performance data and communicate insights that can inform future growth.
- Represent the Coffee & Chill brand and its values in all public-facing content.

Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 to 2 years of experience managing social media accounts and producing content, preferably for a wellness brand or company.
- Demonstrated ability to improve engagement and support conversions through social media.
- Experience analyzing results and a strong grasp of Instagram as an organic growth channel.
- Ability to create graphics and edit short-form content.
