You will collaborate closely with both the Regional APAC team and Global Social & Community Leads to drive social media growth and engagement across targeted APAC markets, as well as spearhead social launches in new regions aligned with business goals. A deep understanding of social media trends and audience engagement is crucial to elevate Skyscanner’s social presence and achieve measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support social media activities and campaigns across multiple APAC markets, integrating with global and regional initiatives and coordinating with external partners.
- Plan, develop, and execute social media launch strategies for new APAC markets in collaboration with regional stakeholders and the APAC creator manager, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Lead social content creation and storytelling efforts by delivering engaging, platform-appropriate material consistent with brand standards and local market nuances.
- Oversee community management, guiding external teams in responding to comments, messages, and user-generated content to foster engagement.
- Conduct research on emerging social platforms within the APAC region to identify potential opportunities for brand growth and recommend launch feasibility based on impact analysis.
- Identify and capitalize on cultural moments and social media trends by collaborating with partners to create timely and relevant content and community engagement strategies.
- Utilize analytics tools to monitor social media performance and convert insights into actionable recommendations to enhance strategies.
- Manage relationships with third-party service providers to ensure seamless delivery of social media activities.
- Support regional and global leadership in planning, reporting, and budgeting processes to facilitate the execution of owned social activities.
- Assist with operational tasks such as processing contracts and invoices for external partners and managing regional freelancer tools like user-generated content (UGC) collection and moderation platforms.
Candidate Profile
- Proven social media expertise, especially within APAC markets including Malaysia, Taiwan, and Australia, understanding local market differences.
- Creative storyteller capable of translating data, product narratives, and trends into tailored, engaging content that resonates with specific local audiences.
- Keen awareness of internet trends and ability to discern which trends offer strategic value for brand engagement.
- Strong familiarity with key social platforms in APAC, their audience behaviors, and algorithms, combined with curiosity about emergent platforms and innovation opportunities.
- Experienced collaborator who comfortably coordinates with agencies and freelancers, providing constructive feedback while maintaining brand identity.
- Excellent communication skills to keep various stakeholders informed and aligned around timelines, deliverables, and details.
- Data-savvy professional able to leverage social media analytics to assess performance, generate insights, and refine content strategies accordingly.
- Robust project management skills, adept at juggling multiple markets and deadlines, adjusting priorities fluidly while maintaining detailed oversight.
