Role overview

Players Pins is hiring a Social Media Coordinator to help strengthen the company’s online presence, grow audience engagement, and increase awareness around its patent-pending collectible sports pins. This position calls for someone who is both imaginative and well-organized, with a solid grasp of how major social platforms work and a genuine interest in sports and collectibles.

The role reports to the Marketing Manager.

What you will do

  • Create, plan, and post engaging content across the brand’s social channels, including Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, YouTube, and similar platforms, with the goal of expanding reach and interaction.
  • Keep an eye on social conversations, emerging trends, and platform activity to spot opportunities that support the brand message.
  • Interact with followers by replying to comments and direct messages, helping build a friendly and active community around the brand.
  • Support social campaign planning and execution, including product launches and promotional promotions.
  • Measure performance across channels, review key metrics, and share actionable recommendations to improve results.
  • Work closely with marketing, creative, and sales colleagues to maintain a consistent brand tone and coordinated messaging.
  • Stay current on platform changes, industry trends, and best practices in social media.
  • Help produce content when needed, which may include basic graphic design, video editing, and copywriting.

Candidate profile

The company is open to candidates without a single mandatory qualification, but the preferred background includes a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience. Applicants should have at least 1 year of experience managing social media for a brand or organization and be comfortable using platform analytics tools for Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, and YouTube.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are important, along with the ability to create engaging copy and communicate effectively with different audiences. You should also bring strong organization, close attention to detail, and the ability to juggle several tasks and deadlines at once. Familiarity with tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus. Success in this role also depends on being proactive, creative, comfortable working independently and with others, and interested in sports, collectibles, pop culture, or fashion.

Compensation

The expected salary range is $30,000 to $40,000, with pay determined by experience.

Players Pins is a small but fast-growing sports collectibles company founded in San Diego in 2022. The brand has reimagined traditional sports pins through a new patent-pending collectible product.

The company works with more than 60 professional sports organizations, including teams such as the San Diego Padres, Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bulls, Cincinnati Reds, Anaheim Ducks, Vancouver Canucks, Vegas Golden Knights, Brooklyn Nets, New York Mets, Dallas Mavericks, LA Kings, and Sacramento Kings, among many others. It currently holds NBA, NBPA, and CLC licenses.
