Job description

Role overview

Ray White is looking for a creative and proactive content specialist to join its marketing team in Sydney. The role focuses on planning, producing, managing, and sharing engaging content across the group’s owned social media channels to strengthen audience engagement and support the brand’s position as a leading real estate network in Australasia.

You will report to the social media and content manager and work closely with social media and content specialists across the team. The position calls for someone who can combine visual storytelling, digital marketing know-how, and hands-on production skills to create high-quality content and keep social channels performing well.

This opportunity is suited to a detail-focused professional who enjoys a fast-moving environment, has strong project coordination skills, and can confidently handle design work as well as short-form video filming and editing. The role also offers growth within a long-established, family-owned property business with more than 120 years of history.

Social media and content duties

  • Oversee Ray White’s owned accounts on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Plan, create, schedule, and publish compelling written, visual, and video content that supports the content strategy and campaign priorities.
  • Transform longer pieces of content into platform-specific assets such as Reels, carousels, short videos, and graphics.
  • Work with content, design, communications, and internal teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
  • Keep up with platform changes, emerging trends, and new content opportunities to improve results.

Paid social, analytics, and optimisation

  • Build, manage, and improve paid social campaigns on Meta and LinkedIn.
  • Handle audience targeting, budgets, and creative choices to support marketing goals.
  • Track and report on content and campaign results using platform insights, Google Analytics 4, and other reporting tools.
  • Review audience behaviour and campaign outcomes, then recommend improvements to content and advertising performance.

Community engagement

  • Respond to comments and messages across social channels in a prompt and professional way.
  • Use social listening tools to track brand sentiment, competitor activity, customer feedback, and possible reputation risks.
  • Build positive connections with online communities while upholding the brand’s standards.

Group support and capability building

  • Support Ray White offices, agents, and corporate teams with social media best practices.
  • Run the group’s social media distribution platform, including scheduling content and maintaining monthly calendars.
  • Create useful resources and deliver training sessions, webinars, and workshops to strengthen social media skills across the organisation.
  • Advise teams on content creation, paid social, platform updates, and social media strategy.

Brand governance

  • Make sure all social activity follows brand guidelines, social media policies, and visual identity standards.
  • Maintain consistency across all owned channels and look for ways to improve the brand’s social presence and creative output.

Candidate profile

The ideal applicant will have a background in marketing, communications, content creation, or a related field, along with several years of hands-on experience managing social and digital channels for a business or brand. Strong skills in copywriting, photography, short-form video, and social-first creative are important, as is the ability to run paid campaigns and interpret analytics.

You should also be comfortable using social media management tools, content creation software, and presenting ideas or training groups with different experience levels. Strong organisation, stakeholder management, and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines are essential.
