Role overview
We are seeking a Social Media Content Manager to elevate the club’s digital entertainment presence and social community. This position is centred on expanding audience engagement, increasing brand visibility across One NZ Warriors brands, supporting commercial goals, and helping create a fan-first entertainment experience.
Key responsibilities
- Lead a strong social content and distribution plan that supports brand goals and commercial priorities.
- Spot content opportunities by using trends, live events, partnerships, campaigns, and audience insights.
- Build content schedules and help deliver social campaigns in partnership with internal teams and external collaborators to grow reach and engagement.
- Work with the Brand Manager to keep brand purpose, tone of voice, and visual standards consistent and high quality.
- Produce performance updates and practical recommendations to improve content and stay aligned with evolving social media trends and best practices.
- Support the Media & Communications Coordinator through coaching, guidance, and professional development to strengthen performance and career progression.
What we're looking for
The ideal candidate is highly tuned into social media culture, comfortable creating compelling content, and confident using analytics to guide decisions. You should be organised, collaborative, and able to build trust quickly in a high-performance environment while managing several priorities at once.
Experience required
- At least 3 years of experience running social media channels for sports, entertainment, telecommunications, or consumer brands.
- Proven ability to create engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and newer platforms.
- Hands-on experience with paid social campaigns.
- Knowledge of influencer and creator marketing.
- Strong writing skills with a clear storytelling approach.
- Experience reviewing social performance data and turning it into useful insights.
