About the Role
Microsoft Global Skilling (GS) is dedicated to making learning accessible, inclusive, and relevant, especially as AI and new technologies transform the job market. We are seeking a Social Media Content Creator to enhance creator-led storytelling within Microsoft’s skilling initiatives. This position combines influencer strategy, creator partnerships, social content development, advocacy, and hands-on content creation to ensure Microsoft's presence on social platforms is engaging and accessible.
The ideal candidate understands creators, digital culture, and audience behavior, and can both design creator programs and produce social content across various formats and channels. Responsibilities include developing creator campaign strategies, writing social copy, producing and editing short-form videos, creating briefs, identifying trends, and crafting platform-native stories for platforms like TikTok, LinkedIn, Instagram, and others.

Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, develop, and implement social-first video content aligned with content strategies for the Microsoft Commercial social organization.
- Craft platform-native copy for creator campaigns, including scripts, captions, posts, and voiceovers.
- Partner with creators to refine messaging and ensure authentic delivery.
- Contribute to campaign concepts, creative briefs, and overall content strategy.
- Lead content creation efforts for key Microsoft Commercial events and initiatives.
- Collaborate with marketing, social, events, and product teams to ensure cohesive messaging across all channels.
- Help shape the tone and voice for creator and community content across Microsoft Commercial brands.
- Embody Microsoft's culture and values in all work.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field, plus at least 1 year of experience in content creation, copywriting, content strategy, or creator marketing; OR a Bachelor's degree in a related field, plus at least 2 years of relevant experience. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
- Demonstrated experience creating content for social media platforms, understanding how creators engage on TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging channels.
- Proven experience in content creation for a brand or agency, with a portfolio showcasing creator/brand collaborations and end-to-end content development.
- Experience writing in diverse voices suitable for different creators, channels, and audiences.
- Ability to translate complex technical or enterprise subjects into clear, accessible content and copy.
Additional Information
The typical base pay range for this role in the U.S. is $97,600.00 - $188,400.00 annually. Specific locations like the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area have different ranges, from $125,000.00 - $206,400.00 annually.
