About the Role
YellowBelly is seeking a part-time Social Media Content Assistant to help showcase the energy and personality of its New York studio across social platforms. The role is based in Brooklyn and runs for two days per week, with working hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. It is designed to fit around acting, freelance work, and other creative commitments.
YellowBelly is a premium headshot and portrait studio with locations in New York, London, and Los Angeles. The studio works with actors, creatives, and professionals to produce high-quality imagery in a collaborative, relaxed setting. The team is small, ambitious, and focused on creativity, storytelling, and making content that connects with people.
What You'll Do
- Capture behind-the-scenes video and photo content during client shoots using an iPhone 17.
- Edit short-form video content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn.
- Develop content that feels native to each platform while staying aligned with the YellowBelly brand.
- Publish and schedule posts with direction from the Social Media Manager.
- Collaborate with photographers and the wider creative team to generate fresh content ideas.
- Support social media campaigns and help strengthen the studio's online community.
- Maintain a consistently high creative standard across all content produced.
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on experience creating and editing strong social content.
- Confidence working in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
- Solid knowledge of TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
- A sharp sense of framing, narrative flow, and video pacing.
- Strong organisation and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Comfort in a busy, fast-moving creative environment.
- Genuine interest in photography, acting, and creative culture.
- A positive, proactive, and team-oriented approach.
Bonus Experience
- Previous work with photographers, creative agencies, or talent.
- Awareness of social media trends and how platform algorithms work.
- Experience producing content that performs strongly or gains wide reach.

Working Details
