Job description
Role overview
Five Education is seeking a creative and well-organised Social Media & Marketing Assistant to support the team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone with a genuine interest in digital content and social platforms, and who wants to contribute meaningfully to the growth of a recruitment business.
You will help plan, create, and manage content across social media, support broader marketing initiatives, and ensure the company’s online presence stays polished, consistent, and professional. The position suits someone who is happy to bring ideas forward, spot opportunities, and take initiative rather than only following instructions.
Working pattern and pay
This is a part-time position requiring 1 day per week, totalling 6 hours. The pay rate is £15 per hour, plus holiday pay. The role is based in the Bristol office in BS1, with flexibility to divide the hours into two half-days if that works better.
Key responsibilities
- Produce engaging social content such as graphics, post copy, and short videos for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
- Bring forward fresh content ideas, campaign concepts, and trend-led suggestions that suit the brand and audience.
- Plan, schedule, and publish posts across social media channels.
- Work with colleagues to collect information needed for social posts and marketing materials such as posters, brochures, and booklets.
- Upload written and visual content to the company website while following brand standards; full training will be provided.
Skills and experience
- Solid knowledge of LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook, with some familiarity with YouTube.
- Good ability in Adobe Photoshop; Adobe InDesign experience is an advantage.
- Experience editing video content with CapCut and/or Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Basic working knowledge of Canva.
- Strong time management and the ability to handle several tasks at once while meeting deadlines.
- A proactive mindset and the confidence to contribute ideas independently.
What’s offered
- Hourly pay of £15.
- Holiday pay.
- One office day per week in Bristol, BS1, with the option to split the hours into two shorter sessions.
- A friendly and supportive workplace.
