Job description

About Gripvan

Gripvan provides specially tailored vans and cutting-edge technical gear for photographers and filmmakers throughout London and beyond. Our team is small and closely knit, collaborating with premier agencies and producers on prominent industry shoots. We are a young, rapidly expanding company eager to welcome someone committed to growing with us.

Role Overview

We seek an individual to join us on-site one day a week, fully integrating into the team to manage our social media and content efforts authentically. You will be embedded with our crew, including drivers and warehouse staff, gaining firsthand insight to inform your content creation. This hands-on position requires you to shoot, write, edit, publish, and engage directly with our audience.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate effectively with the team by spending time with staff and clients to grasp the business operations in-depth.
  • Create behind-the-scenes and educational photo and video content showcasing our vans, equipment, shoots, and personnel.
  • Oversee and expand our social media presence while engaging followers, clients, and industry contacts personally.
  • Produce blog posts and long-form articles for the company website.
  • Leverage comprehensive business understanding to create authoritative and authentic posts and writings.
  • Develop and sustain a content schedule covering weekly, monthly, and yearly marketing and social media activities.
  • Monitor content performance and refine plans based on insights.
  • Perform all typical duties expected of an in-house marketing and content creator.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience managing social media accounts and producing diverse content formats.
  • Strong and clear writing skills, comfortable with creating blog and video content.
  • Proficient in shooting and editing photos and videos, with a knack for capturing authentic behind-the-scenes stories.
  • Personable and comfortable interacting with team members on shoots and in the warehouse to gather original material.
  • Highly organised with a disciplined approach to maintaining a content calendar.
  • Possesses a genuine passion for photography, filmmaking, or the production industry.
  • Available to work on-site at our London E10 headquarters one day per week, with potential for role growth.

Essential Requirements

  • Applicants must be individuals; applications from agencies, studios, or contractors will not be considered.
  • Must have valid Right to Work in the UK.
  • Ability to be physically present at our London E10 HQ on the designated working day.
