Job description
About Moonbug Entertainment
Moonbug Entertainment is an internationally recognised entertainment company focused on creating content that helps children laugh, learn, and grow. Its portfolio includes major kids’ brands such as CoComelon and Blippi, and its programming reaches audiences across more than 150 video platforms worldwide, including Netflix, Disney+, BBC iPlayer, and YouTube Kids. The company also has a strong presence in preschool music and audio, with distribution across 100+ audio platforms. Beyond digital media, its brands also span toys, games, books, live experiences, and theme park installations.
Moonbug is part of Candle Media, an independent creator-focused company built around high-quality, category-leading franchises and brands. The wider group brings together senior talent across content, community, and commerce to support long-term growth.
Role Overview
This position sits within Moonbug’s Gaming & Interactive team and supports the growth of a dedicated short-form social presence for Oddbods, a fast-paced character brand on YouTube. The role is based onsite in London and is suited to someone who thrives in a high-volume, quick-turnaround environment with plenty of creative freedom.
The successful candidate will help build an engaged digital community around Oddbods, its Roblox title Obby Bods, and future brand extensions. You’ll work closely with a Social Content Creator and cross-functional teams across Gaming, Brand, and Production, using experimentation and audience insights to turn fresh ideas into repeatable content wins.
Responsibilities
- Adapt CGI assets and full episodes into short-form videos designed to perform well on native social platforms.
- Experiment with new formats, editing approaches, tools, and creative hooks while increasing output from 3+ posts weekly to 5+ posts weekly across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
- Track internet and gaming trends, then turn them into relevant social content that can be produced within a 72-hour turnaround.
- Work with the Gaming Marketing Manager to shape the content calendar, prepare publish-ready assets, and keep the fan community active.
- Review performance data regularly and use results to inform future content and creative direction.
- Protect the Oddbods brand voice by balancing its chaotic humour with the expectations of a global children’s and family audience.
Requirements
- Demonstrated background as a social producer, content creator, fan editor, or similar role in a fast-paced media setting.
- A strong portfolio showing independently edited short-form content and the ability to produce ideas and finished assets efficiently, with limited supervision.
- Confident use of Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop, plus everyday use of Google Workspace and Trello.
- Solid understanding of social trends, platform algorithms, and the first few seconds of content that capture audience attention.
- Strong copywriting and storytelling skills adapted for short-form visual content.
- Comfort working with analytics to assess content performance and justify creative decisions using data.
- Added advantage if you have experience filming game footage, working in a social-first creative agency, or working in-house on a major entertainment or character brand.
Perks
- Free private healthcare.
- Enhanced maternity and paternity leave.
- Matched pension contribution of 5%.
- Complimentary yoga and fitness wellbeing classes.
- Free weekly lunch.
- Friday drinks at 4pm.
