Role overview
Yeo Valley Organic is hiring production operatives for its Crewkerne dairy site during a period of growth. The role sits within the dairy team and supports the making of nutritious food products on a 06:00 to 18:00 shift pattern, working four days on and four days off.
The site includes multiple departments such as dairy production, fruit preparation for yogurt ingredients, and a savoury team producing soups. This position is based on site in Crewkerne, and the surrounding areas mentioned as convenient for commuting include Yeovil, Chard, Ilminster, and Taunton.
The company provides full training for the role. Previous experience in food manufacturing would be beneficial, and there is potential for the hourly rate to rise once additional training has been completed.
The advertised pay is £30,750 per year, which equals £14.08 per hour.
Key responsibilities
- Work in a busy, high-volume production setting.
- Prepare ingredients for use in production.
- Support the making and packing of food products.
- Complete hygiene and routine cleaning tasks when needed.
- Keep production paperwork and records accurate and up to date.
- Handle manual lifting and movement tasks.
- Use materials handling equipment (MHE) as required.
Requirements
