About the Role
West Cirque Construction, a prominent General Contractor specializing in residential and commercial projects, is looking for a Skilled Labourer to join the team for a multifamily construction project in Regina, Saskatchewan. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain strict compliance with local building codes and safety standards on site
- Undertake carpentry tasks not covered by subcontractors
- Supervise work performed by subcontracted trades
- Complete repairs and touch-ups on subcontractors' work deficiencies
- Conduct frame and mechanical inspections
- Perform finish carpentry duties
- Carry out quality inspections and prepare reports
- Promptly communicate issues to the site superintendent
- Effectively use power tools such as air nailers, skill saws, and screw guns
- Mentor less experienced workers
- Support additional site tasks as assigned by the site foreman or superintendent
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in finish carpentry is advantageous
- Familiarity with operation of equipment such as zoom booms or skid steers is beneficial
- Strong knowledge of building and safety codes
- Ability to organize tasks and communicate effectively, fostering strong relationships with subcontractors and site personnel
- Excellent time management skills with an ability to prioritize and deliver results
- Keen attention to detail with a firm grasp on quality standards
- Highly organized, goal-oriented, and able to work collaboratively within diverse teams
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
