Skilled Carpenter

Role Summary

Paul Davis Restoration of the National Capital Region is hiring a skilled carpenter to support restoration and reconstruction work. This role focuses on rebuilding homes and commercial properties after damage caused by fire, water, storms, and other disasters. It is a hands-on position for someone who values workmanship, problem-solving, and dependable year-round employment.

Compensation

The pay rate for this position is $22 to $27 per hour, depending on experience.

What You Will Be Doing

• Deliver precise rough and finish carpentry across restoration and remodeling projects.
• Reconstruct damaged areas in properties affected by fire, water, or storm events.
• Fit and install cabinetry, trim, doors, framing, and countertops.
• Assess conditions on-site and make practical, efficient decisions.
• Collaborate with a team committed to quality workmanship and reliable delivery.
• Make sure all completed work follows applicable code and quality expectations.

What the Employer Is Looking For

• At least 2 years of carpentry experience, with finish carpentry required and rough carpentry considered an advantage.
• Good understanding of tools, building materials, and construction techniques.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in the finished result.
• A valid driver’s license plus dependable transportation.
• Comfort with physically demanding tasks such as lifting and climbing.
• Willingness to work overtime occasionally or respond during emergencies when needed.
