Job description

Overview

The Site Supervisor role involves managing daily operations of the property to maintain high standards of cleanliness, facility upkeep, maintenance activities, and client service excellence. This position involves supervising third-party service providers to ensure all service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) are met, helping guarantee smooth operational flow at the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inspections and walkthroughs of the site to ensure operational standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports and complete checklists on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Coordinate setup and operational arrangements for client events as required.
  • Manage shift handovers and respond promptly to client inquiries.
  • Support a rotational shift system including morning, afternoon, and night shifts.
  • Oversee third-party service providers in departments such as Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Security, Laundry, Transport, Soft Facilities Management (e.g., landscaping), and Hard Facilities Management (e.g., civil works, mechanical, electrical, and IT).
  • Ensure all contractors operate according to defined Scopes of Work, KPIs, and SLAs.
  • Monitor contractor performance and appropriate allocation of staff.
  • Log and track repair and maintenance work requirements.
  • Create snagging lists for events and pre-opening activities to ensure readiness.
  • Monitor asset inventory and track movement and storage of equipment.
  • Maintain accurate asset records and report any discrepancies found.
  • Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, security protocols, and food safety regulations (including EFST/ADAFSA compliance).
  • Manage waste disposal processes and preventive maintenance schedules to maintain asset longevity and site cleanliness.
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve operational efficiency.
  • Provide necessary guidance and training to service providers for consistent service quality.
  • Prepare and submit operation-related updates and reports to management as required.

Qualification Requirements

  • Possess a degree or diploma in Hospitality, Tourism, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in Hospitality, Leisure, Tourism, or Facilities Management sectors.
  • Experience overseeing third-party contractors is highly desirable.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Soft and Hard Facilities Management practices.
  • Understanding of housekeeping operations and hospitality service standards.
  • Competency in managing assets and maintenance operations.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients and contractors effectively.
  • Ability to multitask and solve problems in a dynamic environment.
  • Detail-oriented with capacity to adapt to changing circumstances.
